This document outlines a preliminary proposal for the implementation of Odoo ERP for Jana Holding and its subsidiary companies. Our understanding is that Jana Holding seeks a unified ERP solution to streamline operations, enhance visibility, and support growth across its diverse business units. This proposal presents two primary scenarios based on our discussions and the information provided, particularly concerning Care Logistics, and aims to provide competitive rough estimates aligned with your budget considerations.

The objective is to provide a basis for further detailed discussion, leading to a crucial Discovery & Analysis phase to finalize scope and costing.

2. Proposed Solution Architecture

We recommend Odoo Enterprise Edition as the foundational platform. This edition offers robust multi-company management capabilities, advanced features crucial for diverse business needs, scalability, and a comprehensive suite of applications to support all subsidiaries under a single, unified instance.

Key Architectural Highlights:

  • Single Odoo Instance: Centralized database and management for Jana Holding.
  • Multi-Company Configuration: Each subsidiary will operate as a distinct company within Odoo.
  • Inter-Company Transactions: Streamlined processes between entities.

3. Understanding Our Pricing: Man-Day Approach

Our implementation service estimates are based on "Man-Days" (also known as Consultant-Days). One Man-Day represents a full day of work by one of our Odoo consultants.

Formula: Total Estimated Man-Days × Daily Consultant Rate = Total Estimated Service Cost.

For this proposal, we are using a competitive daily consultant rate of $300 USD per Man-Day.

The ranges provided in the estimates (e.g., 10-15 Man-Days) reflect the initial uncertainty before a detailed analysis. The actual effort can vary. The Discovery Phase is designed to refine these estimates into a fixed quotation.

Note: These estimates cover implementation services only (consulting, configuration, customization, training, project management). Odoo Enterprise licensing fees are separate and billed directly by Odoo or an authorized partner, based on the number of users and applications selected. Hosting costs (e.g., Odoo.sh or on-premise infrastructure) are also separate.

4. Scenario 1: Full Odoo Implementation (Care Logistics - MVP From Scratch)

This scenario involves implementing Odoo for Jana Holding and all four subsidiaries. For Care Logistics, functionalities will be custom-developed within Odoo, focusing on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for initial rollout, with potential for future enhancements. This approach helps manage initial costs while delivering core functionality.

4.1 Jana Holding (Parent Company)

  • Scope: Centralized multi-company tools, consolidated reporting (basic), inter-company rules, project management.
  • Estimated Effort: 15-20 Man-Days

4.2 Golden Textile (Textile Factory & 4 Retail Branches)

  • Scope: Manufacturing (BoMs, Work Orders), Inventory (multi-warehouse), Sales, POS (4 branches), Purchase, Accounting.
  • Estimated Effort: 30-45 Man-Days

4.3 Nojoum el Riyad (New Car Sales Agency)

  • Scope: Sales & CRM, Inventory (vehicle tracking), Purchase, Accounting.
  • Estimated Effort: 15-20 Man-Days

4.4 El Hadaf (Car Rental Agency)

  • Scope: Rental module, Fleet Management, Invoicing, Accounting.
  • Estimated Effort: 15-20 Man-Days

4.5 Care Logistics (Logistics & E-commerce Fulfillment - MVP Built in Odoo)

  • Scope: Core operations (Sales, Purchase, Accounting), Warehouse Management (Advanced - MVP), Delivery Management (MVP), Service Catalog & Pricing, COD Management, Client Portal (Basic).
  • Integrations (Lean approach for 7 platforms: Salia, Zid, Labah, InT, Mile, SMSA, Aramex).
  • Estimated Effort for Core Functionality (MVP): 35-60 Man-Days
  • Estimated Effort for 7 Integrations (Lean): 47-85 Man-Days
  • Total for Care Logistics: 82-145 Man-Days

Total Estimated Man-Days for Scenario 1: 157 - 250 Man-Days

Estimated Service Cost for Scenario 1 (@ $300/Man-Day): $47,100 - $75,000 USD

This estimate assumes an MVP scope for Care Logistics' custom features and lean integration approaches. Complexities beyond this MVP would require additional effort, best identified during the Discovery Phase. The component estimates have been adjusted to align with this overall targeted project range.

5. Scenario 2: Odoo with Care Logistics Integrating with Olivery.app

This scenario implements Odoo for Jana Holding and subsidiaries (Golden Textile, Nojoum el Riyad, El Hadaf) as in Scenario 1. For Care Logistics, its core operational system would be Olivery.app. Jana Holding's Odoo instance would integrate with Olivery.app.

Scope for Jana Holding (15-20 Man-Days), Golden Textile (30-45 Man-Days), Nojoum el Riyad (15-20 Man-Days), and El Hadaf (15-20 Man-Days) results in a sub-total of 75-105 Man-Days for these four entities.

5.1 Care Logistics (Integrated with Olivery.app)

  • Core Odoo Modules (within Jana's instance for oversight): Sales, Purchase, Accounting, simplified Inventory. Estimated Effort: 10-15 Man-Days
  • Integration with Olivery.app: Data mapping, API configuration/development, testing. Estimated Effort: 35-47 Man-Days
  • Total for Care Logistics (Integration): 45-62 Man-Days

Total Estimated Man-Days for Scenario 2: 120 - 167 Man-Days

Estimated Service Cost for Scenario 2 (@ $300/Man-Day): $36,000 - $50,100 USD

Crucial Assumption: This significantly lower estimate for Scenario 2 is heavily contingent on Olivery.app having robust, accessible APIs AND Olivery.app already handling all 7 external integrations (Salia, Zid, Labah, InT, Mile, SMSA, Aramex) effectively. If Jana's Odoo instance needs to independently integrate with these 7 platforms for Care Logistics, the cost for Care Logistics would increase substantially. The component estimates have been adjusted to align with this overall targeted project range.

6. Key Assumptions for Estimates

  • Odoo Enterprise Edition will be used.
  • Estimates are for an MVP or phased approach for complex custom features.
  • Standard Odoo functionalities will be leveraged extensively.

A detailed, fixed-price proposal requires a Discovery Phase. Key information to explore includes:

  • Confirmation of the preferred scenario and detailed discussion of its implications.
  • For Scenario 1 (Care Logistics MVP): Precise definition of MVP features versus future enhancements.
  • For Scenario 2 (Care Logistics integration): Confirmation of Olivery.app's API capabilities and its handling of the 7 sub-integrations. Specific data points for sync.
  • Detailed operational workflows and specific pain points for all subsidiaries.
  • Approximate number of Odoo users per company and their roles (for licensing).
  • Data migration sources, volume, and complexity.
  • Specific consolidated reporting needs for Jana Holding.
